The talented staff at Snow White Ltd has been building incredible automotive works of art since 1975 but the Snow-White story goes all the way back to 1956 when Pepper Snow stopped to assist his schoolmate Ronnie White, who’s 1946 Ford was broken down on the side of the road. They quickly became the best of friends who shared a common love and fascination with all things automotive. For the next 20 years, both guys would hone their skills as machinists, fabricators, and builders of street rods, customs, racecars, and boats.

In 1975, Ronnie and Pepper started what would prove to become a great partnership, going into business selling parts and building street rods, customs, race cars, and just about anything in between. The new business named Snow-White, Ltd, was opened up at the shop adjacent to Ronnie’s home in central Fresno. For the next 10 years they built a reputation locally and regionally building a string of incredibly well built, thoughtfully engineered cars and trucks. During these years, several of the one-off parts designed and built for many of their customers cars became the basis for their line of products, including their innovative Jaguar IRS packages and water pump risers for Chevy and Ford V8’s. With Ronnie’s talented machining and fabrication skills and Pepper’s technical and business savvy they continued their success through the 70’s and into the 80’s.

Snow White Ltd, gained national exposure in 1985 when a roadster they built for Don Van Vranken, nicknamed "The Black Fog" won the "Best Engineered" award at the prestigious Oakland Grand National Roadster Show and was subsequently featured in several national magazines. This notoriety led to even more builds and an ever expanding customer base with projects and parts being built and shipped all over the US and abroad.

Throughout the 80's and 90's their reputation was further solidified and the business continued to grow. And then in 1994, they expanded their operation to include their current location on the block just behind the original shop. The new location offered a larger shop area allowing the company to build a greater number of complete turn-key cars, in addition to a sales showroom and parts warehouse. The original shop is still in use today and houses a machine shop and assembly area primarily focusing on product assembly and chassis fabrication.

Today, over 35 years later the craftsmen at Snow White, Ltd. are still at it, fabricating, designing, restoring, and building an incredible array of street rods, customs, muscle cars and pro-touring machines.

Sadly, on June 1st, 2012, Pepper Snow passed away after a brave and lengthy battle with cancer. His wit & wisdom, common sense approach to solving problems, and infectious sensor of humor will forever be greatly missed by everyone here in our shop along with all of those that came through the doors at Snow White, Ltd over the years and of course his many friends and family. We will continue on; one project, one customer at a time, carrying on the legacy that he and Ronnie started.
